Thermal vs Standard???

I'm wondering what people think about having the thermal cover on their shack. Is it worth the extra cost?

Ill let you know come first ice. I picked up a clam bigfoot 4000t. I went with thermal on the 4000 just because of it's size. I figured it would be easier to heat a large house like that. That being said, I have fished out of a ton of smaller uninsulated portables and I cannot remember the time I wasn't warm enough. If you use it every day, you would notice a difference in fuel consumption, If you get out once in a while, probably not so much.

Hands down, thermal.

The only arguement against it that I can make is the added weight, but if I'm going for the ultralight approach, I'm probably not taking a shack at all.

thermal, its not only warmer, but not hearing the canvas flap in the wind is priceless for me out here on our prairie potholes lol

no condensation is also another plus.

Go thermal without a doubt. I regret not getting mine in thermal but will next time for sure.
