i'm the first one to spend money on all the new gagets and nothing ticks me off more than when them dang amish show up with there schooly reels and rods stiffer than a wedding night **** and consistantly out fish me...lol

like in any and all Hobbies or activities, there are loads and loads of "gimmicks" and products marketed specifically to that group of people. Can't say I blame them, its the american way.

With that said, its up to the consumer to wade through and figure out what is needed and what is gimmick. I've always been a cynical person, so I tent to look at a product and really think about it before I buy.

I'm an avid bicyclist and enjoy riding year round. They sell Bicycling specific rain gear and winter gear, But I've found one can find similar items for cheaper by paying attention to materials and construction and looking elsewhere. They sell fancy jackets with longer sleeves and vents for hundreds, but I got mine for $39 and it functions almost the same.
