CAMAN
I've never tried it, but it is my understanding that most apps don't send all of their data to the card. So you may have to still download or update the app on the new phone. But the saved and personal info should be transferred over. The way I have done it is log into your Google Play account and it will give you all your paid apps and even automagically download them for you if you have auto update setup. I also believe free apps will also download automatically if auto update is checked on those apps also as I noticed some free apps installed by themselves when I get new phones. LwnmwnMan2
I just bought a Samsung S3 off of C-list because I can no longer upgrade at Verizon. If I upgrade at Verizon, I lose my unlimited data on my and my wife's phone. All I did was take my SIM card from my Razr Maxx and put it in my S3. The phone works with my number. I then took my SD card from the Maxx and put it in the S3, and my photos, videos and music are now on the S3.My apps are NOT auto transferred over. There ARE apps to help you with that, like AppBrain and others.Personally, when I switch phones, I manually reenter the apps. If I don't remember one, then obviously it wasn't that important. It's akin to clearing out your closet in the fall once / year.

LMITOUT
Already did! Last Thursday, to be exact. The main reason was the lost coverage in ND which meant I was roaming up there and had little to no data. If I didn't travel to ND I would still be on Sprint. I had no issues whatsoever up until Verizon purchased Alltel and Sprint lost their territory up there. If that had not happened I'd still be happily on Sprint with unlimited data and a much cheaper monthly plan.
LMITOUT
To the original question, there is a new app out called My App List that will make a list of all the apps on your phone. Export the file as HTML and it will create a clickable list which will let you click on the app name and it will take you right to the app in the app market (Google Play). I emailed the file to myself from my old phone, and then emailed it back to me when I got my new phone. That way I could just go down the list and install the apps I wanted. The other option is to save the file to your SD card on your old phone and then open the file on your new phone after moving the SD card over. PierBridge
Quote: Already did! Last Thursday, to be exact. I thought Japan buying 70 percent of Sprint, would maybe make you switch! Either way welcome to the big leagues and the industry leader!!! ..

LMITOUT
Gotta pay to play, I guess, but that doesn't always mean it's better.Anytime someone asks what provider to go with I always say to go with what works where you are going to use it. In my case Sprint worked well for me for many years, and at a much cheaper rate than other providers with unlimited data to boot. With Sprint losing their territory west of MN last year I had to make a change and I'll have to pay for that service.
