Where to go for mid-March jumbo perch?

If you could go to any lake in mid-March to catch jumbo perch for a weekend, where would you go? Devils Lake, Winnie, Leech, Mille Lacs? Want to take the old man out for a weekend. We were going to hit up Devil's Lake last March but we all know what happened to the ice in March last year!

Mille Lacs would be a good bet, couple good year clases now. I would also think about Lake of the Woods, not huge numbers that will be caught but the size always seems to be impressive, besides there are a few walleyes and sauger up there too

I've done extremely well for perch on Cass the last 5 years. 7-10' has been the desired depth. Pretty decent travel as it seems to get beat up pretty good by then...

Care to expand on that? I'd love to drive over there a time or two this winter or late ice for the chance at some big perch.

Waubay and Bitter would be the more popular choices. Lynn, Roy, Reetz and Goose also have some nice perch. Basically, most lakes in the Webster/Waubay area have decent perch in them. Some of the lakes that freeze out from time to time should be good this year as well.
