Lakemaster software?

I currently use the Garmin version of Lakemaster Minnesota Version 7 software. It uses Mapsource as the software to view the maps.Can I use anything else for this? I would like it to show some Topo or a satalite view. I use it on my computer and upload anything I need to my Nuvi when I go out. I realize I will still need to use mapsource to upload to the Nuvi. I have it linked to Google Earth but that just shows me the lake and doesn't incorporate the depth chart.

That is a product made by Garmin, so you need to pose that question to their customer service.

So you want to overlay the data from mapsource over the view from Google earth? Somehow combine them?

I might start by looking at the help page/documentation for google earth.

There was a post in the ice fishing forum probably 2 years ago with people doing this. They even had a write up with instructions. Try to find it. I believe Hydro had input on it.

I searched this and found that mapsource has been replaced by basecamp, and another post said you needed to have at least one waypoint on the garmin map to get it to show up.

Would the lake maps work with Basecamp?

Could you post the link? I did a search and wasn't able to find it. I looked at basecamp and that would be 100 times better than mapsource. I'm just not sure if I can merge the 2 gona have to do some looking.By the way sorry for not searching it first I was just kinda venting about garmin and mapsource. Another nice thing about basecamp is that I can use my nuvi as an antenna and use the laptop in the truck.
