Which week?

If you could take one week off to go hunting in Otter Tail county MN, which week would you pick? It can overlap rifle season but I am primarily looking to kill a mature buck with my bow. What would you do?

week before firearm. once the blaze army storms in, its a whole new, tougher ball game.

i think the previous 2 posters nailed it. the week before rifle opener hands down. very difficult hunting follows opening day of rifle season.

I've been taking that week off work for several years now. I usually post my PTO notification in January...

Its about as good as it gets the week before rifle. With Tues, Wed, Thrus the best days, as friday afternoon you get people starting to mess around way to much. My last two have been shot on Wed and my brother got his Wed as well. So if you had one day go Wed before rifle.

My vaca is Nov 1-8! Beginning a couple days before Halloween you should see a lot of rutting activity....we have a early full moon like we did in 2009 and that year a got a monster on Oct 30 while he was chasing 2 cuties!

Definitely week before rifle. I'm off October 18th to November 11th. Getting closer.

My vacations are taken every year right around Halloween (I hunt mostly WI so rifle season doesn't effect me)... I LOVE the pre-rut all the bucks are on there feet patrolling!!!
