So I am just getting over pneumonia, and havent fished for about 3 weeks. I have a club tourny up on Ida this weekend and haven't done any prep, if anyone is willing to give me some pointers I would appreciate it, thanks guys

It might be a busy lake this weekend. I think the FOM legacy series is having a tournament on Ida this weekend also. I have never fished it, but everything I hear about Ida is good. Pick your poison, brown ones or green ones!

You will catch a TON of fish. Just have to hope you can get a few better ones. I would start on some rocks with topwaters in the early AM for brown ones, then hit docks and weedlines for green ones.

Water temps. are still in the low 70's and the fall pattern has not started. So stick with the late summer patterns. If you chase brownies, try any hump 20-foot or shallower and drop-shot it or T-rig. The humps with some weeds on them are better (chara grass).

Well I finished in last place with 6 fish for 11.87, ton of 14 inchers with a giant 16.25 kicker. Fished deep all day dt 10 over some deep coontail, cabbage mix was best for me. The guys that won had 6 for 18.87 fishing weightless wacky worms in the reeds 4ft or less in 20+mph winds, go figure.
