lund boats

which would you choose------16 foot lund mr pike with 40 hp merc or 16 foot lund challenger with 50 hp merc----both same money. Any one have better features then the other??

If one has a deeper "V" bottom, I would choose it.

My first criteria would be chose the one in the best shape.

Second, go for biggest. One may be wider than the other.

Third power. I like power.

I have had four lunds now and three of them have been the ProV and now the family life has moved me to the Fisherman. For me if it was just a fishing boat and not a rec boat for the kids as well I would have a 17 foot with a 50 horse four stroke tiller the name of the game is boat control

I fished out of a Mr pike with a old 50 on it for several years. I really like that boat. I would say you could always update the motor to a bigger 4 stroke in the future if you wanted. in my opinion I would go for the Mr. Pike
