Water Clarity

Recommended Posts

We went out last night on a North Metro lake and had difficulty finding fish in our usual spots. Only managed 2 carp and didn't really see anything more than that. With all the rain and wind the water looked chocolate brown. Anyway else been noting water clarity issues, or know of any carp lakes that you can still see the bottom in? laugh

All the lakes I have been hitting are around 2 foot clarity some of the creeks have been clear though. I'd tell you where I was but the fish must have not been shot at and were really dumb and I would like to keep it that way . Check out the thick reeds if their are any on your lakes that's what they have been holding heavy in around here.

Yep, 2-3 feet is what I have been seeing as well. Might want to try another lake, lots to choose from in the north Metro. Any overhanging trees or structure seems to hold the numbers. They were paired/grouped up pretty good on Monday night.

Give Rush a try for a night shoot. They were staging for the spawn 2 nights ago.

Fishing was not so great last night, seems the cold weather this week may have moved them back out a bit. Trying again tonight with the boy and a friend of his.
