Borch's crew season is over.

Well it was a tough season for us this spring. We ended up 3 for 6 with my son Travis taking a jake today with his bow. It's his first bow kill and he was pretty pumped up even though it wasn't the big tom he was hoping to take. The woods were quiet but this jake came running in to face off with his strutting jake decoy set at 8 yards. He made a great shot on it and the bird didn't make it more than a few feet before laying down for good.

Even though it wasn't a banner year for shooting birds we all had a good time and talked about the neat things we saw while out hunting. That's what the hunt is really about anyways.
