fishing tech
My Son and his friend have old lawn tractors that they race around thru the mud and woods. Anyway the friends has no spark. best we can tell is it is the magneto or coil/transformer. It is a 68ish craftsman with a tecumseh engine. Part #s are 610759 and 610760. They are no longer available. Anyone know of a place that might have these yet or an aftermarket parts place that would.Yes I know this is the ATV forum but I also know that there are alot of hands on guys in this forum. Thanks for any help!!
fishing tech
Every where I check they are not available. Anyone know of a retro kit? Possibly?
Macgyver55
Is this conversion anything they might want to try?http://overnight-solutions.com/index_files/Page682.htm
fishing tech
Thanks Mac, I figured you would know. His grandfather has another engine he is going to try and install. 15 year old and doesn't have any money but his grandfather has about 30 old lawntractors he can mix and match to make them run. Only problem is they are in MY garage with My tools doing this. Oh well good kids and I don't mind helping. Thank again, if the part was $20-30 he would have gone that route. hawkeye43
Look at it this way, They could be using your $300 rod and reel in a $25000 boat.
fishing tech
LOL, if I could afford a $300 rod and reel right now I'd buy him the magneto he needs for the engine.
