Found a nice haul today, after looking at the pics, noticed I also trashed the cell camera....at least it matches my cracked screen now. Found a few on oaks, but mostly on real recent fallen if not still standing stressed aspen. Been so long since I have had fresh shrooms....... bagged a few trout as well.......it was a good day!!!

Anyone get out after the heavy rains?

We hit the motherload on the way back from the lake last night. 4 trees in one area, all infested from trunk to tip....

Jr. and I got out yesterday and did not even have to go off path much to land a nice haul. This will be about the last week of picking before a drench in misquito repelant will be needed. It was fun while it lasted........

I made it out Saturday evening in the south metro for a couple of hours during the light rain. It took a few miles of walking, but I did finally find a nice little batch of oysters. Just enough to fill up a frying pan. Had I been there a couple days earlier, I would have barely had room for them all! 90% of them were already rotten. I'm hoping the cool weather this week will bring some new ones out. I'll be looking a couple of evenings this week for sure! They sure are delicious!
