Finally got to play the Wilderness at Fortune Bay last weekend. We moved our annual spring golf trip up there this year to try something new. We played the Black Bear Casino course on fri, 36 holes at The Wilderness on Sat and finished up with 18 at The Quarry on Sun morning. We got a deal where it was $45 for golf and $30 for the room pp. Then it was $62 to play the Quarry and $39 twilight at Black Bear.

Hands down imo The Wilderness is the best course in MN, the greens are unbelieveble and it seemed like every green had 3 or 4 tiers, the course was in awesome shape and layout is one of the prettiest anywhere. It has everything from a tee shot over Lake Vermilion to some awesome downhill par 3's. Not an average hole on the course!

My favorite course in the state, one of the favorite I have ever played. I've been going on vacation to Vermillion the last 5 years, and we always make it a priority to play there at least a few times. It's always in unbelievable condition, and as you said not one boring hole on the course.

Few of my buddies have golfed it quite a bit and it is definately on my list of courses to play. I don't think I have talked to a person yet who has played there who hasn't said it is the best course in the state hands down.
