harvey lee
I noticed Menard's has these batteries on sale. Are they any good as I could use 1 new one. Thanks
98prosport
my thoughts on this question are that the battery is only as good as the warranty. and that goes for ease of return should it come to that. Just think of returning something to that store of which you mention, then think of trying to get a battery warranty exchange. I know of other places that would be much easier.(from mt own experience)as far as the battery name itself, I have used them, seem to be the same as others I had.no big pro's or con's. Down Deep
I've used Exide and have nothing negative to say about them. The deep cycle 27's lasted as long as Interstates I've had.
motownmasher
i agree with 98 in that a battery is only as good as its warranty. i havnt had one yet that lasts more than a year past its warranty. (trolling battery that is). i've now been using everstart batt.from wallmart.
harvey lee
I use to purchase batteries that cost a bit less and they always worked for me.I went to a Optima blue top since for the price I was getting a better battery for the added money spent. I find out this spring my Optima is shot 1 year out of warranty. After talking with a few others and 2 boat dealers, they explained to me that happens alot with the Optima's as far as going to pot right after the warranty expires. For what they cost and now to find thier life is really not much better, no sense in spending that kind of money on trolling motor batteries.Going the cheap route and see how that pans out.The Menards Excide batteries are on sale for $70 and For 1/3 the money compared to an Optima, my bet is I am better of going this route in the long run. delcecchi
I'm pretty much in your camp. Mine came from Fleet Farm.

Wish-I-Were-Fishn
Two from ff and the other from Wally in my boat. Keep the water level correct and use a maintainer to keep them charged.
