Arnesesn on LOW for Muskies

Hiya Kidd -
Really aren't many muskies anywhere on the American side of LoTWS. Just doesn't have the stuff for them I guess. Canadian side is out too even if you did want to run that far, because the ON season doesn't open till the 3rd weekend in June.

So muskies are sort of out of the picture. The good news is, there are some nice pike on that end of the lake. I don't know much about catching them there (never tried it) but I bet if you post on the LoTWs forum, someone will have some answers - Fiskynut, Widetrack, or one of the other LoTWs guys...

Good luck...

I've been going up there since the early 1970's and have seen one muskie right near Arneson's in that time. RK's definitely right- no sklunges there to speak of. I think they do advertise that they charter trips for them though. That means they'll drive you a long ways to get to decent sklunge waters.
As far as pike- the bays are great for that right now. 4-mile, wabonica (spelling), ClementsonAccessOnRainyRiver, etc. Bigguns too. Fisky would be able to help with this one- he's a pike guru in that part of the world. If he doesn't see this here, try posting it on the LOW forum.

Am headed to Arnesens Resort 1st w/end in June (opener) and was wondering if anyone had fished for muskies in this area. Any tips, and/or suggestions as to where to fish ? I have never been in the area and didn't know if this was a productive area for muskies ???
Any help would be great- thanks

FYI- you said Arneson's, but I was thinking Adrians. I gave you info for the Wheeler's Point area. Oh well, brain farts happen...
