Hanson-

Actually, it took longer timewise to post the pic. It only took about 30 minutes on opening morning to get the fish. wink.gif As for as work and money spent to get muskies, we don't even want to go there because it is too much to talk about. I lost a larger fish 2 years ago on the same lake on the same lure type, when a srew eye opened up on me. Finally the muskie gods shined on me a little and threw me an easy one smile.gif. Heres a few more from the archives.

toddb-
Looks like persistence pays off, you got your picture to show up. Now the question is, was it harder to get the picture to work or to catch that beautiful musky in your picture. Nice Job.

Aj10-
Scroll back halfway through this thread and read my abbreviated post about how to post pictures. Follow the link to the metro forum and there is more info there as well. If all else fails, I could post the picture for you.

Finally caught one big enough to post. 42", girth 18", metro lake
Number 5 for the year.

Sorry TomWheeler, It's missing my smile, I'm still working on perfecting picture taking when alone.

I GIVE YOU THE ANSWER!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

This is my brother-in-law's fish from last Saturday. Some of you may recognize him.

I dont mean to pee all over everyones parade, but, if you are going to post pictures of big muskies could you use a semi-horizontal or horizontal hold. Those vertical holds have got to be doing some serious damage those big fish. Congrats on the big mammas.

Booger has a very valid point that all need to consider.

Holding the fish vertical by the jaw does damage to the spinal column. You can actually hear it "pop" and "crack".

Be gentle!!!

Let em go, so they can grow!

oh give the guy a break on the hold. First of all, from the picture, he seems to be making an effort with his other hand to somewhat support the fish. And More importantly, let's not talk like holding a fish that big is some easy task. That is a monster who maybe wasn't cooperating and holding still.
AWESOME fish!
