cbrooks
On college hocky news they listed the two frontrunners for the job in there opinion are Cary Eades(UND silly-me) and Mike Guentzel(Gopher silly-me).
scsavre
I don't think guentzle would take it. I think that would be a good spot for eades, rohlick, maybe scotty bell. I would expect high interest in that job. With the new wcha and new staff they have a great opportunity at the playoff in a few years. cbrooks
I'm thinking Eades as well. I'll throw another name out there...UNO Mike Hastings. He may be fixing to take over for Blais in a couple of years on second thought.
solbes
Ciskie up in Duluth threw four names into the hat. Rohlik and Guentzel (already mentioned). He also had Eric Rud who is a current CC assistant (head coached at Green Bay USHL). And Derek Lablonde, current Green Bay HC (former DU assistant).Out of those 4, Rohlik and Guentzel would be greatly preferred I think. Question is would either of them take this opportunity, or are they waiting for a HC job with a bigger school.
Bear55
It will be interesting to see who they find, the conference shuffle is going to play a role here I think. The new WCHA doesn't exactly stack up the old WCHA.
