upnorth
You could try right clicking on the shortcut/icon and going to properties and clicking run maximized.
Shack
Which Browser are you using? Internet Explorer, Firefox or Google Chrome? If the above does not hone in on your issue and if your windows are opening very small and you click at the top to get them to go full screen, the videos below will show that you should position you mouse arrow right on the edge atop the blue bar running around the very outside of the browser. You should see the single whit mouse arrow become split and have two little arrows pointing to the left and right. Left click your mouse and hold down the left click as you drag to the right of left making the window larger. LOL this video is pointing out a glitch in Google Chrome from 2010 but I used it based on it shows what I am talking about: "> " type="application/x-shockwave-flash" wmode="transparent" width="425" height="350"> If the browser window becomes reduced by the means of the user ( can happen on accident even) Google for sure, but I believe the others will always default open to this reduced size when they are first opened. If you physically make the window large, it will then always open to the size that you make. If you close it full screen I believe it should then reopen full screen though? If not, the above advice should cover all bets for a cure to your issue. The following I will toss in just encase: "> " type="application/x-shockwave-flash" wmode="transparent" width="425" height="350">

MN Mike
I've run into this problem a few times ( it's been a while now ), eventually I ended up using a program called autosizer, it's free and did the trick for me.Mike
upnorth
Try maximizing it and then going to file, then exit. Or even stretch out to the corners and then close it without maximizing it. Somewhere it was set to run in a normal window and doesn't want to go back to maximized.
