reinhard1 Posted July 4, 2012 Author Share Posted July 4, 2012 Asian Noodle Salad1 pound angel hair pasta1 tsp sesame oil1/4 cup soy sauce2 T sugar1 1/2 T balsamic vinegar2 tsp salt1/4 cup cilantro chopped1 jalapeno pepper seeded minced1/4 cup dry roasted peanuts choppedthat's what the original recipe calls for. i guessed at all the amounts instead of measured them. i also added a good handfull of sugar peas and shredded carrots that i stirfried in olive oil until half tender and let cool and threw that in with the rest of the stuff on top of the pasta and mixed it up good. when you cook the pasta and when it's done make sure you rinse the pasta in cold water so the pasta dosn't stick. i serve it cold. good luck. stoneeyes317 Posted July 4, 2012 Share Posted July 4, 2012 Minty Bulgar Wheat and Peach Salad: 2C. boiling water 1C. bulgar wheat 3T. lemon juice 2T. lime juice 2T. Olive Oil 1T. honey 1/2 t. salt 1/4 t. pepper 2C. chopped peaches (about 2) 2C. chopped jicama 1C. finely chopped mint Combine water and bulgar; let sit 1 hour or until water is absorbed. Combine juices, oil, honey, salt and pepper. Add the rest of the ingredients to the bulgar, toss to combine and pour the dressing over the top. Stir, then refridgerate for 1 hour. This is the way the recipe is written, and it sounds good; however, the first time I made this we didn't have any bulgar so I made it with quinoa instead and that is the only way we make it now.
