Good day to smoke some pork

Marinated in Garlic olive oil and rubed down with smokehouse maple seasoning and sat in the fridge for a couple days.If it tastes as good as it smells right now it will be great.

Its around 6 pounds. About 5 hours and 160* Im guessing about 3+ more hours or so. Ill post a pic when its done.

Got a turkey breast just about ready to come out of my smoker. Pulled a few chicken thighs out a couple hours ago, dang they were good.

Hope that roast of yours comes out as good as it looks.

About 8 1/2 hours in the smoker at 190* Ive only done 4-5 of these trying different rubs etc. and this one was the best so far. I probably could have gave it another hour or so but it pulled apart pretty easily.

The white bread and sauce is the way to go on a PP sandwich, and this may sound weird but some good coleslaw is a traditional topping. There is something about the smokey meat, the sauce, and the tangy coleslaw...

Looks great! I'll agree with the coleslaw. The crunch and bright flavor of he coleslaw mesh really well with the smokey flavor and tenderness of the pork. My wife thought I was crazy when I told her to try it, now she has to have slaw on her PP...just like me

I've got a couple butts in the freezer waiting for a good time for a BBQ.

Yea the cook always has to sample. Ive never tried the cole slaw but Ive seen where some resturants offer that. I think it was on Dinners drive ins and dives. Ill have to try that sometime.

I was helping a guy with a big cook for his company, we got in a jam when the lady that was making the coleslaw got sick or something. We were serving something like 250 sandwiches the next day. So we are thinking "store bought" and trying to guess which super market would have the best slaw.

All of a sudden one guy said "Kentucky Fried Chicken has great slaw", so we practically bought them out. Theirs has a fine chop which worked good, and the flavor was pretty good too.

KFC does have really good slaw. I got plenty of left overs so maybe Ill pick some up and give it a try. PP also freezes well for later use.
