Valves question ???

How do you tell if your valves need adjusting ?? and what does it usually cost ?? I have an 05 rubicon and i got it with 77 miles on it, now it has 1700 miles on it i've never done anything too it but change oil etc...i was curious if i should get the valves adjusted etc...Thanks

I would say it doesn't need it unless its acting up or not running correctly but I am not a Honda guy so maybe someone with more experience will chime in.

I do mine once a year no matter the miles. It rarely if ever actually needs adjusting, but I check them anyway. I've got pretty close to 10,000 miles on it now and they have shown very little wear as far as adjustment is concerned.
