You can order prescriptions through Costa DelMar if you like, they aren't cheap but they are available.

Otherwise most eyeglass retailers will be able to build you something, but the optics probably won't be as of high quality as Costa's are.

I use Oakley prescription sunglasses, polarized and available with bi-focals if needed. You can do the same with Costas too.

There is a online retailer that sells both brands with their respective lenses and a much cheaper price than your local retailer. I think it is Frames Direct.

I just got my first pair of progressive bifocals with transition lenses, $500 from Vision world, although I did get buy one get one free, so I got 2 pairs for that amount. But dang! The worst part is, I can not stand to use them, I can not see my computer screen clearly. They tell me it takes some getting used to the progressive lenses, but there should atleast be a clear area for me to see the screen eek

I have progressive lens also. You should be able to see your puter screen fine. I have no problems with mine. I would go back to vision World and let them know your problem. Could be something as simple as a frame adjustment or the lenses could be ground wrong. either way, you shouldn't be having this problem.

I tried progresives first, They plain didn't work for me. I need to read electrical schematics and drawings as a part of my job, the edges squirming into focus made me loose my place too mant times. Standard Bi-focals with the line let me see what I am doing.

I have been using the polorized bi focals for about 3 years now and have been happy with them. I believe my last 2 pair were $300.00 It was a buy one, get one free. So I have a daily pair and 1 pair just for fishing and driving.

If one wants to purchase glasses for less, if you are going to Mexico anytime, take a prescription along as one can purchase eye glasses there for almost half of what we pay in the U.S. No need to worry about the quality as when I have ordered mine in Mexico, they were shipped to Mexico from the U.S.

I did go to go back to Vision World, they tried re adjusting them, but nothing really helped. I have to go back in to see the eye dr next week and see what is wrong.
Try backing a trailer up useing your truck mirrors with progressive len's let us know how it works.

I currently have try vocals that are progressive. I bought a pair of safety glasses with my Rx that are straight lens. Man what a difference. Throw them try focals away, get rid of the progressive carry a pair of cheaters for the bi focal.
