Not enough birds for game farms???

Called a game farm in norther mn yesterday to see when he was going to be opening. He told me that with this mild winter most game farms stayed open all winter, and that there are currently no birds for him to be open anytime soon. Has anyone else heard this??? I was really lookin forward to knockin down a few pheasants in the coming month!

the bird farms around here have been out all winter.

I was looking to get my year old lab on some birds that I couldn't last fall.

Many game farms were out of birds well before winter. Blame it on the outfitters. When news spread of poor wild pheasant numbers, they scrambled and bought up all the birds they could find to release before clients showed up. Our dog training group has been having a touhg time just locating chukars, of all things, for spring trials; nevermind training. Looks like I'll be investing in a pigeon trap t some point...

i know keith from sand pines phesant farms just got some birds in last week. i know he has a limited supply but give him a call.
