Small Engine Backfiring

Any help for my snowblower? Havn't used since last year and now it wants to backfire out exhaust. Changed spark plug and tryed adjusting carb, but no go. Any Ideas

Well, I've changed gas, plug, pulled top head off and valves seem okay, adjusted carb. Still backfiring , any more idea's before I take it to the shop?

I would drain all the old gas. I had this happen to my 4 wheeler this winter, It started to bach fire and hardly run. There was water in the gas.

I do not know what engine you have on your blower but a flywheel key could have sheared and your timing could be off I would guess.
