fishin magician
Tomorrow is the full moon. Does the full moon bring more action to the esox feeding habits. I am going to be out tomorrow but wondering if it will be worth my time to stay out past dark.
MuskyMark
Full moon and new moon periods are supposed to be peak periods of feeding activity for muskies. But within those phases, moonrise and moonset are the times to focus your efforts. Mark
can it be luck?
The 3 day period before and after full and new moon phases are when a lot of record fish are caught.
Muskie-searcher
I picked up a 44" and a 42", while seeing three others on Sunday. Was skunked and did not even see a fish on Monday. Caught a 36", 33" and a 27" on Tuesday, seeing another very big fish. Wednesday we had one nice fish follow up to the boat. All in all a pretty good moon period for us, but we did put in a lot of hours.
JJJ
The Full Moon was on August 11th. Did anyone have sucess catching big muskies 2 days before, 2 days after, or on the day of the full moon? Did anyone see numerous fish on these days? Just curious what happened to other fisherman. I did not see any fish Monday evening.
Scoot
According to the weather channel the full moon was on Aug. 12th. I fished all day and saw five fish across three different lakes. Couldn't convince any of them to bite.Even with the full moon working in our favor, high pressure, no clouds, and no wind worked against us.Scoot
