License Endorsement (some may not be aware)

Recommended Posts

For what it is worth....

According to the regulations, anyone born after December 31, 1976 needs to have a snowmobile endorsement on their license. I am 34 years old and apparently have been under the assumption that I could operate a snowmobile. I knew about the kids needing to complete a safety course before operating, but I wasn't in the know about this for adults. So now I need to watch a safety video and send in $10 for a certificate. I am not complaining, just was a little surprised by it.

Just wanted to let people know that if they are in this age bracket, you may want to go through the motions, cause who knows what kind of fines could be given if caught without one.

Some may not like it but the ratio of accidents compared to the number of riders for both snowmobiles and ATVs has decreased since the safety programs have been implemented.

In fact, at the time I last did an ATV safety course, the average age of those involved in an ATV accident resulting in injury or death was 50 years old. Suffice it to say it's not so much the kids we need to be worried about....IT'S THE PARENTS!!!! wink

I think more kids are killed on them then guns. So it is a good idea just as gun safety is!

I'm just glad I'm past the age that needs them or I may not pass the test!! laugh
