Used Motor

Anyone have some good places i can talk to about used motors? Interested in upgrading to a 2000-2006 year motor for my boat.. I have a 1991 evinrude motor now that i have been having lots of issues with .. Any info would be greatly appreciated!

I was in the same boat myself (until yesterday) and the list on their web site does not have much for newer engines...and they said the list is close but they are a little behind on updating it.

Call around to all the dealerships in the area, or check out the public list ran by craig. I found mine on the list.

Don Is a great guy but I think his son in Elk river took over the bussiness Don still sells a few motors though but his son does all the work now. Both are great guys to deal with.

Princes bait on the way up to mille lacs on 169 has quite a few used motors.

Rich is Don's son, he works out of Elk River and did a great job tuning up my 84 merc that had sat for 10 years last spring (it did cost me an arm and a leg though). he already has some listings on cr ai gs but if you want i can pass his info on to you.

I've always had Don work on my motor. He did last fall and is planning on working on it this spring. (Hitting boulders on the Sippi going full throttle does wonders for the wallet) I know Don's part time, but he's still working on motors. Well as of last Nov he was.

Just spoke to Dr. Don (we call him the boat doctor) and he's back and dropping off my motor tomorrow. I just bought the water craft registration and replaced the bearings. I'm almost ready.
