Vexilar FL-22HD, when charging the charging light stays red and never turns green...

Anybody else who has or is familiar with this situation? I just got a Fl-22 and when I charge the FL-22 with the charger that came in the box with it, the charger light (on the charger) never turns green, even if I have it on for 24 hours and the battery reader shows full, it still has a red light on as if it is still charging. Am I doing something wrong or is it defected?

Do you have the pro pack or ultra pack? If you have the ultra pack, the master power switch needs to be in the "on" position to charge the unit. If not, maybe you have a defective charger. Give the unit a try and see how it works.

I have the Pro Pack. The charger does charge the battery, it just never turns green and always stays red. If I unplug the charger from the outlet and replug it back in, then it turns green showing a full charge.

Only Vexilar charger that I can speak about is the one that came with my FL22.

It is labeled V-410 Automatic on the back and this is what it says on the Front:

*Flashing red LED indicator - COnnection Error

*Continuous red LED indicator - Battery Charging

*Continuous green LED indicator- Battery Charged.

I come home from fishing and let my flasher dry out and battery warm up for the night and then plug it in the next morning. It starts out red and ends up green when fully charged.

Mine turns green every time as well. I use it for charging 4 different batteries. If you plug it in to the wall before hooking up to the vex, does it start off green then turn red when you hook it up to the vex? If it is red without being connected to a battery there may be something wrong with the circuitry.

With my vex pack I need to have the power switch on the box turned on. Not the on knob on the vex itself but the on/off switch on the box. This is with the round vex pack that you put the battery inside.
