Tie directly to jigging spoon or use a swivel??

I also use a quick snap, but I tie a swivel 18" above it to eliminate line twist...Works pretty well!

Yep, thats what I do on Lindy Flyers, Jiggin Raps, Chubby Darters or anything that might twist my line.

Most smaller jigs I just use the snaps.

If I use snaps because I like to change lures often try these out. Take a cutter and remove the swivel attached to them. They come on and off a LOT faster, with cold hands, than the snaps shown above. They are meant for inshore saltwater fishing but work great for ice fishing. Buy the smallest size.
