Tie directly to jigging spoon or use a swivel??

What do you do, tie directly to your spoon or use a swivel?? Or some sort of a quick snap? How about if you're using a swim bait, do you still use a snap/swivel or tie directly??

The above is what i use also. In two different sizes. Larger for summer and smaller for ice.

I also use and recommend the snaps pictured above for jigging spoons while ice fishing.

I also use a quick snap, but I tie a swivel 18" above it to eliminate line twist...Works pretty well!

I use a #10 barrel swivel tied to the end of my mainline and then a length of leader line to a small snap. You need a swivel somewhere in your line or your jig is gonna spin. Fish don't like spinning jigs!!!

ball bearing swivel to cut down on twist. I foot of floro leader in 6-8 lb test tied directly to the lure (for walleye's) which is then attached to the swivel.

Yeah, usually about a 14" leader made of same line as main line and a very small swivel to keep the spinning to a minimum.

Yep, thats what I do on Lindy Flyers, Jiggin Raps, Chubby Darters or anything that might twist my line.

Most smaller jigs I just use the snaps.

You guys that use the quick snaps, do you use them because you're changing out lures that often? Do you think that they affect the jigging action of the lure?

If I use snaps because I like to change lures often try these out. Take a cutter and remove the swivel attached to them. They come on and off a LOT faster, with cold hands, than the snaps shown above. They are meant for inshore saltwater fishing but work great for ice fishing. Buy the smallest size.

I tie to a crossnap or ring if the spoon has one. Im a firm believer that tying direct decreases the action of the spoon.
