mattyb1981
I've always wanted to try spearing and i was wondering where i could get some gear in the twin cities area? Looking for a spear, a saw and some decoys. I've seen the stuff from Fleet Farm and Gander and I'm not impressed. Is there anywhere to get a fish toys saw down here or a nice spear? Thanks for any help.
CFD200
Cabin Fever in Victoria has plenty of saws. Bought mine there this year. He also has some spears, tongs and decoys.
Brad B
Mattyb1981,first off Welcome to HSO and the Forums. it's more on the edge of the metro but H&H in Maple Lake has nims spears and a good selection of decoys. as for a fish toy saw. cabelas had some the last time I was there or you could just go to fish toys HSOforum. I believe he is a sponsor on the forums here and has posted stuff in the past in the spearing forum. you could also make this same post over there in the spearing forum. Archerysniper
Yup fish toys is a sponsor and here is his link. Ice saws I know Cabin fever has been mentioned that is in victoia. Hopefully someone in your area will chime in since I don't know the places down there. As far as decoys go you can start really cheap just get a red&white and then a decoy pin to run a live sucker. The lazer cut spears from FF will also work till you decide if you want to pursue the passion of spearing.

mattyb1981
Don't want to offend anybody but I didn't see her there. There prices seemed pretty good for what I looked at. I'm gonna try a smaller lake tomorrow after work. This weekend me and the wife are off to Little Winnie for our first real time spearing. Anybody been there before?
