Megabass

Does anyone throw these baits? I found a site that has some clearanced Trick Darters and a couple Vision 110s that brought the price down to Luckycraft level. Just wondering if they are so significantly better than LC or even a Rapala, that the price is worth it. Never thrown one so don't have a clue. Would love to get an HSO review of the Megabass brand.

I have thrown the 110 a number of times. They do have a good amount of action despite their slender shape. Didn't notice that much of a difference in fish caught versus Luckycraft or Rapala dt series. I do know that it hurt a little more when a northern sheared me with one of them on because of the price of them though. Too expensive for the waters I fish and, as mentioned, didn't notice much difference in fish caught versus something half the price.

A buddy of mine used to fish a major bass tour as a co-anger and was paired with a well known angler. They were working this shoreline and my buddies $30 Megabass 110+1 ended up in some branches. Pro wouldn't let him go get it because he didn't want to "screw up the spot". That would suck.

I would have a hard time paying the price for some of these lures. even luckycrafts are very spendy. My rapalas work just fine and I hate paying 8 bucks for those to. I would rather put the money to a more spendy rod or reel.

There are some knock off Rick Clunn series Lucky Strike USA ones on tackle warehouse that look almost 100% the same as the Megabass ones for like $7 or $8.
