A 12 volt battery or a 12 volt DC power supply. There are many on the market. Check your local Radio Shack. Beware of the polarity when hooking up the wires. If you go the power supply route, check the amp draw of the device you want to power and make sure the power supply is large enough to handle it.

If it is a one time deal, even a couple of 6 volt lantern batteries connected in series (plus minus plus minus) will do the job. Other wise either a small sealed battery, or the easiest to find might be a lawn tractor or motorcycle battery. They can be recharged with any battery charger.
