does anyone have any ideas of what to use as hole sleeves for the catch cover hole covers? rather than paying a outrages amount for a piece of plastic you have to cut apart anyhow? thanks for any ideas

I just bought 4 hole sleeves from Milaca Unclaimed freight for $12 a piece.

Gonna line them with Reflectix to help keep the cold out near the hole.

I converted an old camper and I needed to get hole sleeves for this and after looking at all the options for this, I decided matching hole sleeves that were made for the hole covers was the best way to go. 2c

I used the insulated bubble wrap I had left over form insulating the inside of my portable. I cut it a little more than the diameter of the hole. I duct taped the cut ends together to fit the hole and folded it over to fit the hole at the floor of the house to the top of the ice. This way I can adjust it depending on how high my house is sitting up because of the snow. It's flexible so you can squeeze it down in there and make a nice seal. Worked out very well for me. Kept the holes open and the house warm with little to no snow for banking.

I also use the 5 gallon bucket which fits pretty snug in the catch cover. I left the top section of the bucket in place so it sticks up about 2 inches from the floor. Keeps things from getting kicked into the holes. Insulation is a must as the plastic has no R-value to speak of and the holes will freeze over pretty quick on cold days.

I agree with Nordern
