soft packs

anyone put soft packs on their vexilars? are they worth while? i can see them as an advantage to keep snow and stuff out of the battery compartment. just looking for input. all marcums come with them so just curious if they're worth while or just for vanity.

I have the ultra pack so the battery is covered. I did pick up the neoprene cover from Vexilar that fits on the 12, 20, and 22.

I have the red case for the propack. There's enough room in the back for an extra battery that I carry.

Just got one for Christmas, so I would have to get back to you on that...lol In looking at it out of the box it looks like a nice unit, however I would say like anything else...cold breaks clear plastic. I have not heard of any that have needed replacement, so I'm hoping that this is the case. I do like the extra protection aspect, so I'm all for it. I also tend to like to keep my stuff in good shape and don't toss it around like I have seen so many of the Lindy guys do in videos.

I won't buy a vex without one....it makes the unit easier to grab everything is contained and it protects the screen from scratches. I have never had the plastic crack or break and I fish in the coldest of weather.

The soft case is a great accessory for your Vex. Any type of weather or use, mine has been fantastic.

For the price you pay for a Vex whay don't they include one?? Others do...

I think everyone should include a case no matter what. Although, I went 1 year without a case for my ice 35 and don't think it mattered much, BUT i think cases help enough that they should come with every purchase.
