Okay here is the problem when ever I go out I bring like 8 ice rods with me All i have is one of theose blue bags to put them in anyone have good ideas for how to store them in a portable when not in use that is still easy to get to. I have a frabil trekker that I built a wood box into the back for storage but have not found a good way to hold the rods it is 8in by 12 in wide by 42 in long with a flip cover and thoughts would help

I bought a Otter rod case at the ice show. I really like it and can fit 6 rods in there very comfortably. I also have a trekker and it fits in the bottom of the sled perfectly.

I was tired of broken rods, and I tried many things and didn't work. After using it a few times, I can tell you this will be the last thing I will ever need.

I also bought the otter case after I was sick of having my rods come loose in the arrow cases and break...even though it is a bit more expensive it is one of those things that, in my case, protects 5x's it value and it saves me money in the long run from not breaking poles!!!

arrow cases, gun cases, can work.

i just mod an old 2 man shelter & behind seats i screwed in horizontal fishing holders for 6, i have first set in and am working on second set, there is enuff room lengthwise for 2 sets of these, makes for very easy access with no extra equip.

If you are looking to have accessible rods while fishing, about 5 years ago I added those broom handle garage hangers (the kind that the handle just clips into) and attached 5 of them on my back support pole in my otter with a sheet metal screw. Your rod handles fit in there great and they are hanging horzontally against the back out of the way. It makes switching very easy. Plus they are always warm from being out in the house.
