It could be made to be legal in MN for sure. I will be trying one this summer I think. I dont have high hopes since they are at their best with schooling fish (which we dont get as much of). But I will have a MN legal one in the boat

Legal how? only one bait with a hook and hope the fish bites the correct bait?

The only way I see it being legal is having one lure rigged with a hook and the rest are dummies. (See pictures). I've done this in the past but it gets expensive for these swimbaits, 3 for $9. So you're looking at $15 swimming there. The results for me was not worth it so I went back to basics, 1 swimbait (robo shad). Like I've said in many forums, if its legal in your state, more power to you. There is no such thing as a secret bait/lure where you can close your eyes, cast anywhere and catch fish. The real secret is in the fishermen, skills, experience and locating the fish.

You could use the 3 wire variety on the river south of the Croix (pool 3 and down) and on the St Croix, and use 2 with hooks and one that had a spinnerblade on it or something, or 2 with hooks and one without, from what I have saw you really want to make sure you have the hook on the trailing center bait.

I was down in Arkansas in early November and everybody I talked to down there said I needed one of these rigs. The unfortunate thing is they were back ordered for weeks because of the popluarity on those large resovoirs where the fish school heavily. Wish I would have had one because we struggled to put fish in the boat. I will boat some pictures of the results one of these days.

That would be interesting grab the net, can you imagine how it would pull through the water if you had 4 nice sized willow leaf blades on a already big rig like that.

Or trying to pull slime or grass of the blades and o rings of all those things.

The next thing will be a crankbait that has 4 or 5 bodies that are all connected with a thin wire. Someone make one and we can split the profits.
