mrpike1973
hi i have been contemplating buying a ice saw. most peaple say there great till about 2 foot then use the power auger is this true. i usually dont move my house to much. maybe because it is so much work maybe this would be better. thanks
Gordie
I use mine all year when the ice gets to that 2ft thickness I drill more holes with the auger but alway finish off with the ice saw. I use a Fishtoys ice saw and I punched thru as much as a foot of ice with only the saw. First ice fishing or spearing thats all I will carry to open up a hole. You will not be dissapointed in a ice saw and you'll wonder why you didnt have one sooner. but spend the money on a Fishtoys saw you wont regret it. I know I didnt.
Meat-Run
I 2nd what Elwood stated get one and auguer your four corners and then use the saw and your done it's that simple. Might want to invest in a good set of ice claws.mr
