5 pound propane tanks

Did a quick search and came up with nothing, looking to get a 5 pound tank for ice fishing and cheapest I found was $50 at Fleet Farm. If I remember they like to rip you off on 5 pound tanks but was wondering if anyone knows where to get a 5 pound propane tank for a little less.

Any place I've seen them they cost nearly twice what a 20# bottle costs.

Not really "ripping you off", there is less demand for 5 and 11 pound tanks so they aren't made in high production runs like 20 pounders. $50 is right around or maybe a little below what you will find everywhere.

I got lucky, found one at my propane dealer, been sitting in the fill bin for a couple of years, paid $20 for a full used 5 lb'r. Check your local dealer, may get lucky.

I got one 2 years ago the tank and had it filled for around 30. Got it at montgomery oil. The thning that sucks about them is some places dont fill by the pound so if you dont go to the right place they will charge you a 20lb refill for it.

I just found 5 pound propane tanks at camping world for $39.99 plus free shipping and I've been searching for the past hour.

And then I looked at the fine print for the free shipping and it says propane cylinders not included, oh well

Camper World has a store in Rogers. Looks like you're north metro so local pickup may be the best option for you.

Yeah I paid $50 at Fleet Farm I knew that Camping World has a store in Rogers but figured it was a wash pretty much with the cost of gas. Oh well I will still save money over 1 pounders just costed a touch more up front

I have picked them up at propane dealers used.

lat one was $20 with the new valve included.

Another for $10 and it had the new valve,

They are out there one just has to contact the dealers.

I have picked some up from farmers for next to nothing also.

TherE always going to be Spendy since they Are not mass produced like the twenty pounders. Good luck try clist and see if u can find a used one or an old one And put a new valve on it for ten bucks
