its worth trying specially after thr balk of the rut is over,they hear that and think maybe theres one more chance to step in and slip off with the lady while the other 2 are beatin each other up !as was mentioned earlier around crp or weed fields over youre head preferably,they love em ! i think the best hunt i ever had was in a weed field where i stood on a 8 ft wooden step ladder i bought at an estate sale for 5 bucks and rattled ,one forkie came in right away then 2 does to take a look ,then an hour later a 10 pointer came in and looked, its amazing how safe they feel in the grass middle of the day ,and how good a shooting stick the top of a step ladder makes !!!
