I dont see where it would benifit you to me the line would take more abuse and have more wear points and easier to snap off than if it was a conventional jig.

Now I could see if it were legal to use like on a stack style rig.

These would eliminate having to adjust your line on an eyelet. If you are fishing horizontally you need to check how a jig hangs after a hookset. When you have it out of the water, check how it hangs on the line, and pull it so they hang flat instead of an angle. These jigs are designed to always hang horizontal.

I did the same thing and ordered a couple of these inadvertantly last year. I didn't use the snell knot, but instead ran the line through the hole and tied them up using a loop knot. I used the surgeons knot, but there are a number of others that would work too. I didn't really find that there was an advantage or disadvantage to these...just something different, and they worked similiarly to my other fiskas with the standard eye. I don't think I'll be buying more on purpose, but I'll keep using the ones I have until I lose them.
