Sleeper Rental??

4 of us (2 couples) are looking to rent a sleeper for a couple days this winter. We are not particular on where we need to go. Would like a house we can sleep in on the lake with rattle reels. The wives want to go somewhere that they have access to a shower house, etc. We are not necessarily after that "one" trophy fish or a specific species. I actually wouldn't mind some crappie action or other panfish that would help keep the girls' interest, as they have not spent much time on the ice. I would love to hear some suggestions of places to check out, or stay away from. The further south, the better. Less travel time = more time on the ice :-) Alexandria area? Brainerd area? leech area? Mille lacs...wherever. If you are not comfortable leaving negative feedback about someone, you could email that to me. Thanks!

Thanks for the replies! Ryan, your post said that there are showers available at the resort...I looked at your HSOforum, but must have missed what resort you were referring to. If we stay on the lake in a sleeper, are the ladies able to use the shower facilities, or do we have to stay on shore at the resort for that? Thanks again! Keep the ideas coming folks! I'd like to hear your experiences! Thanks!

The business's with hands down the nicest houses and facilities I have been at are Appledoorn's on MilleLacs and probably the nicest with heated bathrooms and the works is Port-A-Villa on Upper red. Port-A -Villa has both 110 and gas lights and houses so big some could hold a dance in them.

Always thought posts and site just blindly pumped Paul and Appledorns until I actually saw the place, met him, and some of his people. Truly a great person, operation and staff. Similarly, my bucket list also includes hitting the Red with Jonny, Kelly, and crew. You just know that will be a good time!
