newby question

I'm gonna hang another stand tomorrow. Is it ok to hunt the stand immediately after putting it up or do most of you let it sit a day before you hunt it? I'm gonna put it up in the morning...

I have shot deer while setting a stand before,had to climb down and grab my bow and release.I have also shot many deer the same day the stand was set some within minutes of getting the bow in the tree. Keep your scent to a minimum and trim just enough to get the shot but not tip off the deer something is new.

I agree, often times it can be your best stand right away. I shot my biggest buck ever 4 hours after I moved a stand to a new location. Don't hesitate. During the rut, they are preoccupied and seem to be more careless of their surroundings.

Agreed, one of the best times to see and shoot a deer is the first sit in a newly hung stand. Take care in remaining as scent free as possible and quiet as you can while hanging the stand and you should be good to go!

Agree with above often the best change to shoot a deer is the first time you sit in that area. Heck most of the places I hunt I hit once a year and move on so I have that fresh set just about every hunt.

no problem hunting same day thats all the Ripley hunt is is same day stands. Watch the wind watch your sent and dont sounds like a marching band going through the woods with the stuff and you will be fine.
