There were some deer as well, but i figured they were kind of boring haha. I'm no bear hunter, but that looks like a large bear. Any guesses on size? There were some smaller ones around as well. And the moose? I was glad to get that pic with the recent news from the DNR that our NW MN moose herd is all but gone.

Nice to see good old Beltrami Forest. Our group hunted the north end for over 50 years until the late 90's. When we left we thought the deer herd was all but gone. Glad to see the rebound in the area.

how big do you think that bear is? I checked the camera again last night and it was there again.

I would geuss 200-300 lbs. Where abouts in Beltrami is your camera? I had 1 of my bear baits down south of Williams in Beltrami this fall.

It's nice to see there's still a moose around- I haven't seen one on the hoof in NW Minnesota for 2 years now.

I would guess that bear is between 300 and 350.

that cam is pretty far south in Beltrami, within the Red Lake WMA.

I was thinking it was probably north of 300lbs somewhere, based on comparing it to the others we've got pictures of.
