kuec1kyl
Looking for a little advice. I recently built a 4x6 spearhouse. Where and how many vents would work best? Also what is the best way to make a vent without letting to much light down the hole?
Gordie
Hey kuec1kyl welcome top HSO lots a great stuff in these forums Glad to have on themThere are several ways to vent your house one is to buy the little small round louvered vents that they sell at lumber store and I think one in each corner of the wall across from the hole would be enough I would also add some type of air intake like on the same side of the wall as the vent towards the floor a couple of 3/4 inch holes drill into the side of the house and a piece of plywood that slides over them for adjustment.Even a louvered sofit vent on the outside of the house covering 2 or 3...1 inch holes should work also. Hope this helpsGood Luck and keep posting
Laska
I used a new floor vent for a house, with the push to shut and open it works out great, bigger vent and it doesnt let hardly any light in because of the way its made.
MJ1657
I used them round aluminum vents on a house I used to have and I thought they let in a little to much light for my liking. I'm going to try them again in the perm house I built last year but i'm going to put a "hood" over them on the outside. I think that might keep alot of the light out.You can buy them at the save big money store. They come in a bag of 4 or 6 I can't remember for sure.
