Rick G
Nice ones Connan, that second one has a ruby like color to it. Very cool
DARK30
Love those paints! Found some more color today...and what a great day it was! Best of the day..
Rick G
Again D30 with pile of nice ones . I gota ask, do you still find time to fish between agate hunting sessions?
DARK30
I'll start stream fishing next month but these agates have become an obsession....just like cat fishing once was. So many pits, so little time
Rick G
He even uses the eagle eye to spy out hot gravel pits too . Ever look in farm fields? Not as many as you will find in the pits but quality sometimes makes up for lack of quantity
DARK30
I check a few fields but never picked up anything great (yet) I put the grab on this half pound eye popper this morning. Just sittin at the drop purdy as can be...
Connan
Ugh, So jealous. What a purdy Agate. Tried to hit a pit today but it was so muddy I almost got swallowed whole.
Rick G
Thats one of mother natures finest works . Anyone would be proud to have that one in their collection. Now that my ice season has come to an end maybe I can spend an afternoon looking.

Connan
^The red and white high contrast tight bands with such a smooth water-washed face makes that such an amazingly nice find!! (worth a good amount of $ as well) ... While a bought agate could never have even 1000th the personal significance as a found one, I was still super excited to pick up a couple nice agates today to add to my collection!! This one is 6.7 Oz This one is 1 pound 10 Oz
Rick G
Nice one's Connan! The first is another good example of a claccic minnesota red/white. I like that big honkin one with the black husk, great contrast to the white/grey lines in that one.
DARK30
Very nice looking red/white. We should have a little rockhound get-together this summer.
Connan
Yeah for sure that would be fun! We could bring some agates for show/tell and trade. Or we could get together for a group hunt somewhere... here are a couple i found today on a kayak float!
Zelmsdawg
Beauties! With this nice weather I've been leaving work a little earlier. Filled up a pocket yesterday and found a new spot that didn't appear to be picked over
DARK30
Found a nice peeler the other day. The quartz is nicely banded anyway. Weighs 14.6 oz.
