Connan
Nice ones MRG! You are defiantly in good Agate territory. Yeah If you are ever in the area lmk! I dunno if you are on Facebook, but there is a "Lake Superior Agate Collectors" group as well as an "Agate Collectors Worldwide" group that is very active with people sharing their finds... Dark- unfortunately the rest of that one looks pretty much the same. Just a outer husk of red Agate. I would says its mostly all quartz inside otherwise I would cut it open. Rick G
Pretty cool Looks like you have a little grape jelly on that agate in the second to last shot
Connan
WOW! Looks like a totally different agate! The Iron out really made a difference... I got a nice lake superior driftwood/antler Agate shelf today to a local art fair.

Rick G
Nice little shelf . That is a pretty cool set of eyes on that one up front.
Connan
Thanks. Yeah that Eye is actually water-washed Thompsonite; not an Agate, found on the shore of lake superior in the UP of michigan. The other pinkish one to the right is also Thompsonite but not waterwashed. IT was found in sorted rock in a Pit in southern ,MN. Stuff is out there but is defiantly rare. DARK30
what do you use to shine them up? The first couple pics are just wet. I use mineral oil to give them a shine without actually polishing them.
