tying in a peep

Anyone use braided fishing line to tie in a peep sight? Any other suggestions on what would work if I don't have access to the waxed dacron stuff that the shop uses?

I would go get some and dont recommend using braided fishing line. I have used the stuff on hunting trips and when I couldnt get any. What I found to work best is to take some chap stick or wax and put it on the string and then work the wax in to the string. You can also heat the wax up to work it in faster to the braid. Then I used the fishing line just like I normally would. I found that the bigger diameter works the best and I only used it temperarely until I could get the good stuff.

Waxed dental floss. I've used that many times for temp serving or adding knots to my knock point or tying in the peep.

I 2nd the dental floss, the minty kind is the best....

I keep my old bow strings when I replace them and cut them up to use for tying in peeps etc.

I know people who use old bowstrings and dental floss on a regular basis- never heard of a problem with either. However, here you are typing your question on the internet saying you don't have access to small diameter serving string. Seems to me you could order some up today on that same internet and have it at your house in a couple days. Why not just do that? It's not very expensive...

Already done, just wanted to have something so I could shoot during the week it takes to get here.
