Navionics on android

I have recently had my phone exchanged under warranty to find i cannot re download the lakes north app. it shows i have purchased it but its missing from the market. i have sent 2 unanswered emails directly to navionics as well as posted on their facebook page. has anyone else had this problem or know whats going on as to why its missing from the market. Im gonne be bummed if its no longer available as it was one of my most used apps.

I am curious too. I just purchased a new HTC Inspire 4G (AT&T). I want to get that app as well, but I have no idea where to even start. Any help would be appreciated

Hmmmm, that's odd. I just looked in the market and the Lakes US North app is gone for me also, yet I have it installed. Hopefully they're just fixing some bugs or improving it and it will be back in the market soon. Give them a few more days with the Email, hopefully they respond with something.

Gone for me as well, it does appear on the my apps screen but not in the general area of market.

I wonder what happened.

It is because the US North is no longer available.

US north was basically just the midwest... now the only north is north & canada.

Want answers call Navionics USA... Ask for a refund or for them to put US north back on the market....

When I bought for my ipad, they had changed it to include the entire usa. You then selected the areas you fished and download the maps for that area. Maybe they are changing android to the same.

I'm glad I came across your thread.. I've been considering wiping my phone's memory and reinstalling everything due to some buginess.. but I'm not willing to give up the Navionics maps for it...

Guys I found it yesterday just by searching google, I downloaded the apk installed it, updated the charts and I am off and running. This is the internet, if you want something bad enough you can and will find it.

also, once you get it installed, save the APK for a just incase, but also download Titanium Backup and get a back up of the sucker, then no matter what happens with your phone you will have it.

yes so you guys know if you lose the current one on your phone you will not be able to get it back until they work out their copyright issues. so hold on to it if you have it.

Due to recent agreements with the Canadian Hydrographic Service, Navionics is currently conducting updates for Canadian cartography. This app is currently not available through the Android Market. We hope to have this coverage area available for purchase in the near future.

just checked, yes appbrain does back up your apps so when you do a soft reset you can install your old apps...

Yep, as long as it is still listed in the Market.

I rooted my phone a while back and after I got it humming again I simply went to the market and picked the apps that I wanted to re-download again. Nice to not have to go searching for them as some were kind of hard to find the first time.

Check your app again, all the border waters have maps and contours mapped into Canadada. Also some of the big lakes up in the middle of Canadada have contours on them also, not HD but still, I'm sure Canadada doesnt like having their maps used without permission. Navionics is probably busy deleting all the Canadadian information so the Mounties don't come after them. Eh!

Google is my friend and RuKidding me is correct about searching Google. i now have Lakes North back on my phone.

does anyone know when the navionics will be back on the android market. I see they have the marina one, but I would like to have the one that left the market a little while ago.
