Bobcat

Scoot from FM here got these trail camera photo's on our hunting land in ND.

Never seen one in all the years I have hunted there but heard a few.

Are these adult bobcats? I am not very familiar with bobcat. They sure look to be adults.

I sent these photo's to our local CO as I do not believe they are that common in our area. Seems every year we are getting some cougar and bobcat around the area.

Wish I could see them in the wild while hunting. My wife saw one cougar cross the gravel road a few years back about 100 yards from the house. She could not believe it. I have had a few friends from ND that hunt with us see them but our group have not to date.

Only a matter of time I would guess. I hope they leave our fawns alone!!

I also sent these pics to a Game & Fish wildlife dude who is sending them to one of their experts to varify what they are. When I zoom in on the photo, they look lager than it should be I believe.

The skin color may also be a bit different than a bobcat but it has to be some kind of cat.

I will report back when the Game & Fish let me know exaclty what they are.

Confirmed bobcat by the ND Game & Fish.

Local CO said this is the first ever confirmed bobcat sighting in our area since our CO has been in this area.

I know we have a cougar or 2 in the area so if you could also get a few photo's of them, that would be great Scoot.

We have not caught them on our trail cameras yet.

Had a bobcat pop out of the weeds 10' in front of me deer hunting near Aitkin a few years ago. Looked at me and walked right down the trail. Pretty neat to see them.

We hunt out there and the farmers land we hunt have seen 2 of them. They have also taken out some of there cows they think.

I am not 100% sure but I do not believe the bobcat are large enoguh to take a cow. Cougar and coyote yes, but where we are located, they typically take the calves.
