Way to go Twinks!!!!!! It seems you can take and take away from this team (Guardado,Hawkins,Piersynski etc) and they only get better!!!! The Twins are one of the best run professional sports franchises in all sports. Down here in Iowa, Cub fans always ask me, How do you guys do it??? I think it comes down to an excellent minor league system, smart moves, (shannon stewart last year was a flat out steal for Dustan Mohr) and the mentality of defesne instilled by TK.
I usually don't flaunt the Twins. But in the playoffs this year, (especially if they get home field advantage) the have all it takes to go all the way.
P.s-- anyone hear about what some of the White sox players said about the Twins??? CLassless and immature. How sweet to clinch on their turf, but classy enough to celebrate in the dugout. A little T.K in lots of these guys.

This has been playing out like a soap opera all summer, the bad mouthing from the other teams (Who I might add, did'nt make the play offs, hee, hee) the Doug M. thing, the injuries, the ups and downs, highs and lows, what season it has been!

And to top it off, phase two will be getting under way with the play offs and then phase three, right up to the point when the Minnesota Twins win the World Series!!!! GO TWINS!!!!

To be a little technical, Bobby Kielty was the one traded for Shannon Stewart.

Go Twins, it's the confidence & not cockiness that runs through the organization & the expectation that players will respect the game & play the right way, that makes all the difference. I think we're as good or better than any of the other teams that will be in the playoffs. We don't have the hitters a lot of the others do, but we have defense & pitching. We also know how to manufacture runs from very little when we've got to have them.

Funny you guys mention the Kielty Stewart trade.

Last year about this time, the Twinks were in Chicago and I heard one of the greatest hecklers or heckle of all time.
